The Tomb by F. Paul Wilson
My rating: 4 of 5 stars
Very much reminded me of Relic by Preston/Child. Strange creatures in the night.
Repairman Jack, who doesn't fix appliances, takes them on to protect those he cares about.
Major thriller vibes.

Review: The Warded Man
The Warded Man by Peter V. Brett
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
Interesting take on a backward planet faced with demons rising from the core every night.
-Second read through: One of the focus series I'm attempting to make a serious dent in. This is a re-read of the first book, since I read it quite a few years ago. Now I'm set to go further into the series. I enjoyed it every bit as much as I did the first time round. Imaginative and exciting, with characters who change and grow.

Review: The City of Brass
The City of Brass by S.A. Chakraborty
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
Interesting and complex tale of djinn and afreet. World building is well done, characters are complex and intriguing, plot twists happen often enough to keep you wondering.
Very well read by Ms Nankani.

Interesting and fun read. Well constructed worlds, and with characters you can cheer for. Espionage and plots within plots are always fun.

Review: The Well of Ascension
The Well of Ascension by Brandon Sanderson
My rating: 3 of 5 stars
Not all that enamored of this series. it might be the reader in the audio version. I'm not happy with him.
