Rating: A really intriguing new author, with a well thought out world.

I really enjoyed this, although I thought it was a bit slow in parts. Even so, the characters were well drawn, the world-building was well thought-out, and the story line was compelling. Her writing is top notch.

I'll look forward to book 2.
